2000: Saw action in 35 games as a true freshman, including nine starts at first base and 16 at designated hitter, while appearing in six games on the mound with three starts...earned Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors...at the plate, recorded four multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI contests...had a 14-game hitting streak from Feb. 25 through March 19 when he hit .319 (15-for-47)...had a season-high three hits and three RBI vs. Manhattan College (March 11)...on the mound, struck out a career-high nine batters in his first two starts against McNeese State (Feb. 15) and at Nicholls State (Feb. 22)...earned a win in his first appearance, a start against McNeese State, when he struck out nine while giving up six hits and three earned runs in 7.1 innings of work.
