I chose Tulane because... The culture is very different from my hometown. I wanted to go some place that gave me a different experience, and New Orleans is definitely teaching me another way of life. I also chose Tulane because it has a solid business school and I received a great academic scholarship to attend. The warm weather doesn't hurt either.

The best part about playing baseball at Tulane is... playing the sport you love and trying to achieve a common goal with a great group of guys.

My goals for this season are... to work as hard as I can to put myself in the best position to help the team out.

Do you have any pregame rituals/superstitions? I really don't have any superstitions but I like to listen to music before the game to get me going.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of baseball? Play golf, watch and attend other sporting events, and go to concerts.

What is your favorite food? Favorite Game Day Meal? My favorite food would have to be either cheesecake or steak. My favorite game day meal is probably the shrimp pasta.

If you could play for any MLB team, who would it be? The Chicago White Sox because they have been my favorite team ever since I was a kid. I always enjoy watching games at their park and I follow them every year.

Who was your idol growing up? My parents. They are always there for me and they are always teaching me life lessons to make me a better person. They are easily the greatest influences as to the person I have become today.

What was your greatest memory from last season? My greatest memory was either beating LSU or beating Rice. Both were great games where we showed a bit of our potential. Other than that, my favorite memory would have to be walking to the bullpen at East Carolina and getting a Rudy chant from the Pirate fans in the outfield.

If you were not playing baseball, what would you be doing? I would probably be in more academic clubs in the business school. I would also play golf a lot more often.

What music do you like to listen to before a game? Hard rock. Usually my playlist looks something like this: Ozzy, Chevelle, Wolfmother, Queens of the Stone Age, and Rage Against the Machine.

What is your hidden talent? I have played piano for 12 years. I can pretty much take a sheet of music that I've never seen before and play well enough that the song is recognizable.

What is your favorite type of animal? A liger because they're pretty much the best animal of all time.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To run away from the McDonald's processing plant.

What is your favorite thing about New Orleans? The community. Everyone here is very welcoming and friendly. The people of New Orleans possess a laid back attitude that isn't seen too often in Chicago.

If you were going to be stranded on an island and could have 3 things with you, what 3 items would you take with you? A water purifier, pictures, and a phone to get me off the island.

What's something no one knows about you? I applied to 7 schools and one night in October of my senior year of high school, I decided to apply to Tulane because they had a free application. They sent me their acceptance a couple weeks later and the more I looked into it, the more I found that it was the place for me. I eventually decided in April of my senior year to come here over Illinois, Maryland, Northeastern, and Clemson.

Vanilla or Chocolate? Vanilla.

What is the best road stadium/atmosphere that you have been in? Why? LSU and East Carolina. LSU because of the sheer size of the crowd and East Carolina because of the creativeness of their taunting.

One word that describes you as a person.... Driven.
