I chose Tulane because... I wanted to play for a top-flight baseball program, but I also wanted to get a solid education.

The best part about playing baseball at Tulane is... being close to home. My family comes to all of my games and it's nice to have my friends and family come to all of my home games.

My goals for this season are... My individual goal is to become a starter, but my main goal this year is to just help the team make it to Omaha.

Do you have any pregame rituals/superstitions? I listen to my IPod before games. Before I go out to the field for the game, I have to listen to "Call on Me" by Eric Prydz. I don't know what it is about that song but it gets me pumped. I have routines that I follow before each game, but I mainly just listen to music and try to relax.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of baseball? I like hanging out with my family and friends. I like sitting around the house and relaxing, but I am hyper so I like going outside and tossing the football or kicking the soccer ball, too.

What is your favorite food? Favorite Game Day Meal? My favorite meal is fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken. On Game Days, I like to eat pasta and salad or something light.

If you could play for any MLB team, who would it be? I would like to play for the New York Yankees because they are my favorite team.

Who was your idol growing up? Andy Pettitte was my idol growing up. I met him one time when he was playing for the Astros and I have always liked the way he pitches and controls the game.

What was your greatest memory from last season? My greatest memory was being the first reliever out of the pen. I came in on Opening Day against Boston College and it was just a rush of nervousness and excitement. I was nervous because I was the first reliever to go in, but I was anxious to get out there and throw.

If you were not playing baseball, what would you be doing? If I weren't playing baseball, I would be going to school in South Carolina.

What music do you like to listen to before a game? I listen to everything. Rap, country, rock. I usually listen to Lil' Wayne or Juvenile. Before I go out to the field I jam to "Call on Me" by Eric Prydz.

What is your hidden talent? I played soccer all growing up so that's my main other talent.

What is your favorite type of animal? I like dogs because they are always ready to fetch or go running or do something active.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side.

What is your favorite thing about New Orleans? I was born and raised here, and I love everything about it. I love the food, the people, the Saints.

If you were going to be stranded on an island and could have 3 things with you, what 3 items would you take with you? My toothbrush, my IPod, and my Saints hat.

What's something no one knows about you? I am a neat freak. I have to keep everything in my room really neat and my closet is all color-coded.

Vanilla or Chocolate? Vanilla.

What is the best road stadium/atmosphere that you have been in? I liked playing at East Carolina. East Carolina's field was great and their fans were intense, but after the game they were nice as could be.

One word that describes you as a person... Determined.
