SACRAMENTO, Ca. - Tulane senior Gloria Asumnu advanced to the finals of the 200-meter dash Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Sacramento.

Asumnu posted the 11th-best time in the preliminaries (23.20), and the ninth best time in the semifinals, (23.18) and will now run for the National Championship in two events.

Wednesday, Asumnu advanced to the 100-meter dash finals with an 11.28 time. She will take the blocks for the NCAA 100-meter National Championship at 8:25 central time on Friday.

The 200-meter NCAA National Championships will take place Saturday.

Friday's 100-meter dash final will air live nationally on CSTV (coverage begins at 7 p.m. central) while Saturday's final will be broadcast live on CBS with coverage beginning at noon central.
