WACO, Texas - Three individuals represented Tulane University at the NCAA Southwest Regional Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at Baylor University. All three runners posted season-best times for the Green Wave.

Freshman Rachel Bryan was the top finisher for the Wave, recording a personal-best time of 21:50 on the six-kilometer course, finishing 28th of 127 competitors.

Freshman Aubrey Phillips was the next finisher, taking 54th place with a time of 22:27 while junior Lisa Green finished 72nd with a time of 22:51.

"I was really pleased how all three stepped up and had a great race in the last race of the season," said assistant coach Mike Corn, who oversees cross country for the Green Wave. "Hopefully they gained some experience that they can use next year in the Regionals."

SMU was the team winner while TCU's Mary Kinyanjui was the individual winner for the second year in a row with a time of 20:09.
