Prep: Competed for St. Xavier High School...posted a runner-up finish at the Kentucky State Cross Country Championships...won the Great American Invitational (Ala.) as a senior...was a part of the 4x800-meter Relay team that finished 9th at the Nike Outdoor Track and Field Championships as a senior...was a National Honor Society and National Chinese Honor Society member.

Personal: Born Matthew Robert Morris on May 31, 1991...the son of Richard and Cathleen Morris...has one Brother, Daniel, and two sisters, Carolyn and Kelly.
