AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
OUTDOOR: Competed in the 1500-meter run at the Tulane Invitational (4/13), recording a time of 5:34.86. INDOOR: Did not compete. CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in four meets as a freshman, scoring in two of those. Posted her top 6K time of 25:49.64 at the LSU Invitational (9/25).
Earned all-state honors in cross country and was part of St. Thomas Aquinas' Florida record seven consecutive state titles in track and field. Also a four-time all-county selection in track. Earned cross country team MVP honors as a junior after finishing eighth in the state championship. Won the district championship in the 3,200-meter run as a junior and a senior and was part of the Raiders' third-place finish in the 4x800 state championship race. Cross country team finished second in the state twice and third twice during her four years.
Born April 16, 1986 in Cleveland, Ohio. The daughter of Dr. Harry and Ann Marie Moon. The oldest of four children. Her father also ran track at Tulane and her mother is a marathon runner. Intends to major in biology and English with plans for medical school.
