AS A GRAD STUDENT (2003)
CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in four races before a back problem sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Placed 12th of 92 runners at the four-mile Southern Miss Invitational (9/12) with a time of 21:51.57. Had a season-best 8K time of 27:45.73 at the Ragin' Cajun Invitational (9/20).
AS A SENIOR (2002)
CROSS COUNTRY: Joined the team as a senior and competed in five races, scoring points in each outing. Finished 12th at the Ragin' Cajun Invitational, covering the eight-kilometer course in 29:28. Had a season-best 8K clocking of 27:32.88 at the Auburn Invitational (10/19).
Attended Edmond Memorial High School for three years before completing his prep career at Norman High. Lettered in cross country and track for four years. Helped Edmond to three regional championships and the state championship as a sophomore. Earned all-conference honors as a junior. His senior year was cut short due to being hit by a car.
Born June 30, 1981 in Norman, Oklahoma. The son of Jack Hooper and Monte Monnett. Majoring in biomedical and mechanical engineering.
