Angel Dooley

A 12-time all-conference selection and an NCAA Regional qualifier in each of the last three years. Advanced to Nationals for the first time in 2005 as she qualified in the 200-meter dash.

AS A SENIOR (2004-05)
OUTDOOR:
Made her first appearance at the NCAA National Championships, competing in the 200-meter dash after placing seventh in the NCAA Regionals. Also qualified for Regionals in the 4x100 Relay (10th place) and the 4x400 Relay (10th place). Earned fifth place in the 200 at the C-USA Championships (5/14) with a personal-best time of 23.61 seconds, the third-best in school history. Matched her personal record in the 100 with a time of 11.68 seconds at the LSU Alumni Gold meet (4/23). Also had the top 400 time of the year for the Wave. INDOOR: Collected all-conference honors in three events at the C-USA Championships. Finished sixth in the 400 and eighth in the 200 while helping the 4x400 relay team to eighth place. Tallied a top 60-meter time of 7.63 at the Bayou Bengal Invitational (1/28). Her top 400 time of 55.95 came at the Iowa State Classic (2/12) while her top 200 time was 24.84 at the prelims of the C-USA Championships (2/24).

The top sprinter for the Wave, scoring in three events at the C-USA Championships and qualifying for the NCAA Regionals in the 100-meter dash. Placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 24.47; was fifth in the 400 with a career-best time of 55.23. Also helped the 4x100 relay team to sixth place. INDOOR: Scored at the Conference USA Championships in three events, recording a personal-record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.57 seconds for fourth place. Also took eighth in the 200-meter dash and helped the mile-relay team to fourth place. Posted her top 200 time of 24.94 at the Armory Invitational in New York City (2/13).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2002-03)
OUTDOOR:
Earned fifth place in the 100-meter dash with a career-best time of 11.68 seconds at the C-USA Championships. Also helped the 4x100 relay team to sixth and the mile relay to seventh place. Advanced to the NCAA Regionals in the 100, finishing 11th. Her top 200-meter time of the year of 24.38 seconds came at the Southern Miss Invitational (4/18). INDOOR: Recorded team-best times in the 60 meters and the 200 meters. Posted a top 60-meter effort of 7.58 at the C-USA Championships. Also ran a 25.27 in the 200 at the Meyo Invitational (2/8).

AS A FRESHMAN (2001-02)
OUTDOOR:
Clocked the best time of the year for the Wave in the 400 meters at 56.98 at the Gator Invitational (3/29). Also recorded an 11.80 in the 100 meters at the LSU Invitational (4/19). Her top 200 time was 24.45 at the C-USA Championship. INDOOR: Recorded team-best times in the 55 meters, the 60 meters, the 200 meters and the 400 meters. Notched a school record in the 55 of 7.04 seconds at the Gator Invitational (2/10). Recorded the second-best time in school history in the 60 at 7.57 seconds at the C-USA Championships (2/22). Placed seventh at the league championship in the 60-meter dash.

A 2001 graduate of Northland High School, where she lettered in soccer and track. Helped her team to the state finals for three straight years.

PERSONAL Full name is Angel Nicole Dooley. Born August 11, 1983. The daughter of Valerie Dooley. Earned her degree in exercise science in May of 2005.
