AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
OUTDOOR: The Wave's top distance runner, posting the team's top times in both the 3,000 and 5,000-meter runs. Notched a time of 10:20.23 in the 3,000 at the Hurricane Invitational (4/16) and 17:59.74 in the 5,000 at the Yellow Jacket Invitational (4/2). INDOOR: The Wave's top finisher in the 3,000-meter run at 10:30.69 at the C-USA Championships (2/25). Also helped her team to ninth in the DMR at the league championships. CROSS COUNTRY: Named the Louisiana Runner and Freshman of the Year. Tulane's top finisher in every race, including four top 10 finishes. Won the 67-runner Tulane Invitational (9/3) and the 78-runner USM Invitational (9/10) and also finished 10th at the 154-runner Notre Dame Invitational (10/1) with a 5K time of 18:30. Finished 28th at the NCAA Regional with a collegiate best 6K time of 21:50.

One of the top high school distance runners in the country. A two-time state cross country champion for California's District I and was named the Cross Country Runner of the Year for California twice (2002 and 2003). Also finished eighth in the state as a sophomore. Helped the Cardinals to the league cross country title and the state finals as a senior. On a national level, Bryan was twice named Nike USA High School Athlete of the Week and was invited to the USA Olympic Development Camp twice. Finished 16th in the Footlocker National Cross Country Championship in 2002 and 18th in 2003. Holds school records in the 1500 meters, the 1600 meters, the 3000 meters and the 3200 meters. Also holds the Laguna Creek records in the three miles and the five kilometers in cross country. Her top high school time in the three-mile run would rank third all-time in the Tulane record books. A two-time selection to the California State Athletic All-Academic Team and a multiple recipient of the California Governor's Scholars Program Award.
Born October 5, 1985 in Kansas City, Mo. The daughter of Wes and Janet Bryan. Maintained a 4.0 grade-point average throughout high school.
