Tulane Track in Final Warm-up for C-USA Championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore Nadja Petersen (Stockholm, Sweden) had her second automatic qualifying time in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles to lead Tulane University at the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State University on Sunday. Petersen won the hurdles in 57.18, her personal best time and the fifth-best time in the nation this year. In addition, senior Angela Milner (Modesto, Calif.) won the 800-meter run in a personal-best time of 2:10.43, while junior Katrina Gemmell (Palmerston North, New Zealand) also had a personal record in the 800 at 2:13.02. The Green Wave 4x100 relay team recorded a time of 46.41, the fourth-best time in school history.
Tulane returns to action next weekend when it competes for the Conference USA Championships at the University of South Florida. The event begins on Thursday and will conclude on Saturday evening.
