Green Wave Has Four Firsts at Southern Miss Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Tulane University had four individual first-place finishes at the Southern Miss Outdoor Track Invitational on Saturday at the Marshall Bell Track Complex. Senior Aisha Otori recorded a career-best distance of 39 feet, six and a half inches in the triple jump to win that event. Sophomore Angel Dooley won the 200-meter dash with a career-best time of 24.38, while freshman Birka Wicke and sophomore Moji Alade also won events. Wicke won the 1,500-meter run with a career-best time of 4:38.37, while Alade won the discus with a throw of 137 feet, two inches. Dooley also took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.25. Junior Carlyne Pradieu and freshman Lindsey Karlik tallied second-place efforts for the Green Wave in the 1,500-meter run and the pole vault, respectively. Junior Eva Lustigova recorded a season-best time in the 800-meter run at 2:18.29. Tulane returns to action next week, with individuals competing at the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
