2001 Indoor: Joined the Wave for her final season of eligibility and posted strong times in the 60 (7.71), the 200 (25.32) and the 400 (59.86).
Before Tulane: Attended Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., where she lettered in track for three years. Led her team to two Division III Indoor National Championships and two second-place finishes in the outdoor championships. A D-III national champion in the 400 meters, the 200 meters and the 4x100. In the outdoor championships of 2000, she finished second in the 400, 200 and 100 meters.
Prep: A 1996 graduate of Simon Gratz High School, where she lettered in track. Earned all-league honors three times and was the league champion in the high jump.
Personal: Born August 18, 1977 in Harrisonburg, Va. The daughter of Rev. Barry and Nancy Williams. Attending graduate school at Tulane, pursuing a master's in social work. Plans to pursue a career in hospital administration. Enjoys classical music and can speak Arabic.
