2012-13 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Indoor Track and Field: Posted results in six regular season meets as well as the Conference USA Championship...also competed in the NCAA Indoor Championships, but did not post a result...competed in the pole vault only...set the school record on three different occasions in the pole vault...ultimately notched a 4.23m (13' 10.5") at the Tyson Invitational (2/8/13)...mark at the Tyson Invitational was the top mark in Conference USA during the regular season...notched a 4.05m (13' 3.5") at the New Mexico Classic (2/2/13)...posted the first 4.00m jump in school history during her first meet at the Panther Ice Breaker (12/1/12) with a 4.00m (13' 1.5")...tied that jump at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier (3/1/13)...also competed at the Cherry and Silver Invitational (1/20/13, 3.95m or 12' 11.5") and the Conference USA Championships (2/23/13 or 3.74m or 12' 3.75").
2011-12 (Sophomore)
Indoor Track and Field: Did not compete during the season.
Outdoor Track and Field: Did not compete during the season. Earned Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and was a member of the Tulane 3.0 Club.
2010-01 (Freshman)
University of North Carolina: Spent on season on campus for the Tar Heels...competed in the pole vault...ranked second on the team in the event during the season...ranked 37th nationally during the indoor season in the pole vault...during the indoor season she cleared a season-best height of 4.05-meters to place third at the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championships... her season-best clearance during the outdoor season also came at the ACC Championships, finishing fourth, with a height of 3.96-meters.

Prep: Lettered all four years in track and field while at Metairie Park Country Day...named the Gatorade/ESPN RISE Louisiana Track and Field Athlete of the Year as a senior...named Metro Filed Performer of the Year by the Times-Picayune as a senior...competed in multiple events for the Cajuns...led the nation with a height of 4.17-meters in the pole vault during her senior season...set the LHSAA State record with her vault of 4.17-meters...helped the Cajuns to a fourth place showing at the 20010 LHSAA 1A State Track and Field Championships...won the state title in the pole vault and placed second in the 200-meter dash and the long jump at the LHSAA 1A meet...owns the school record in the pole vault, long jump, high jump and 200-meter dash.
Personal: Born Merritt Grace Van Meter on January 8, 1992...the daughter of Marianne and the late Cliff Van Meter...has one brother, Cliff, and one sister, Logan Jade...her grandfather, Cliff, graduated from Tulane in 1949 and father, Cliff, Jr., completed his degree from Tulane in 1977...both her father and grandfather played football at Tulane...her Grandfather led the team in total offense in 1946, played on the 1949 SEC Championship squad and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers...her father played two seasons with the Green Wave in football.
