2001 Outdoor: Established her career-best in the discus with a throw of 126-2 at the USM Invitational (4/21). 2001 Indoor: Had Tulane's second-best effort of the season in the shot put with a heave of 33-03.75 at the LSU Twilight Invitational. Prep: A 2000 graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School, where she lettered in basketball and softball, as well as track. Earned all-district honors in all three sports. A two-time state runner-up in the discus. Personal: Born August 27, 1982 in Opelousas, La. The daughter of Richard and Donna Urban. Was her high school's valedictorian.
