AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08)
OUTDOOR: Season-best triple jump came at the NCAA Mideast Regional, a 12.41 meter distance... Placed second at the Ole Miss Invitational with a 12.40 in the triple jump... Top long jump came at the LSU Alumni Gold (5.53 meters). INDOOR: Won the triple jump at the Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic with a distance of 11.48 meters... Third at the LSU Last Chance in the triple jump with a season-best 12.38, also added season best at same meet with a long jump of 5.53 meters, placing fifth.

AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07)
OUTDOOR: Placed seventh in her heat at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Junior Championships in triple jump... Qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 12.34 meters (40 feet, 6.00 inches) at the LSU Alumni Gold... Placed sixth in the Heptathlon (4,324 points) and fifth in the triple jump (12.37m; 40-07.00), with personal bests in each event at the Conference USA Championships.
INDOOR: Finished ninth in the Pentathlon at the C-USA Championships.

A three-time letter winner in track and field at Baton Rouge Magnet... Collected six class 5A individual state championships: two in the long jump, two in the triple jump, one in the 300-meter hurdles and one in the 4x400-meter relay... In her senior year, earned state MVP honors and was named to the 2006 NSIC All-America team in the triple jump.

Born May 29, 1988, in Garland, Texas... Daughter of Alice and Michael Taku... Majoring in Public health and plans to become a physician.
