Prep: Lettered three years in track and field for head coach Dane Matsunaga at Mililani High School...was selected as the team captain and team MVP during his senior season...was a First Team All-State honoree during his senior season...placed fourth at the Hawaii State Track and Field meet in the 300-meter hurdles...earned First Team All-Oahu Interscholastic Association West accolades during his senior season...helped his team to an OIA Championship and a top-ten finish at the Hawaii State Track and Field Championships as a senior...also lettered once in cross country.

Personal: Born Daniel Takashi Omuro on April 17, 1992...the son of Daniel and Yayoi Omuro...has one brother, Jonathan.
