2000 Outdoor: Tulane's top thrower. Established a pair of school records in the throws as a sophomore. Tossed the discus 160 feet at Southern Miss. (4/22). Set the javelin standard with a throw of 240-4 at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships (5/13), winning that event.

1999 Outdoor: Captured the C-USA javelin championship with a distance of 207-3. Also finished 14th in the discus at 134-8. His best javelin mark of the year was a 219-5 at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia (4/24). His top discus throw as a mark of 150-3 in Baton Rouge (4/17).

Prep: Was the Louisiana State Champion in the discus for Jesuit High School with a throw of 172-2. In the javelin, was second in the nation with a heave of 229-4. Also was second in the state in powerlifting. Recognized by Track and Field News and American Track and Field as one of the top national prep athletes.

Personal: Born March 31, 1979. Full name is Nathan John Junius. Has one brother and three sisters. Enjoys fishing, hunting, and flying. His older brother, Will, graduated from Tulane in 1997 and held the school javelin record until Nathan broke it. His sister Sasha is currently a member of the Tulane women's track and field team.
