Indoor Track and Field: Competed in two regular-season meets, as well as The American Indoor Track and Field Championships…posted results in the pole vault only…notched a season-best mark of 3.68 meters (12-0.75) in the pole vault at The American Indoor Championships (2/27) for an 11th place finish…recorded identical marks of 3.35 meters (10-11.75) in the pole vault at the UAB Blazer Invite (1/20) and the BSC Panther Icebreaker (12/6/14).

Outdoor Track and Field: Competed in eight regular season meets on the season, as well as the American Athletic Outdoor Championships and the NCAA East Regionals…posted results in the pole vault only…holds the top mark among Tulane athletes in the pole vault…recorded a personal-best mark of 4.06 meters (13-3.75) at the Longhorn Invite (5/2) for a seventh place finish…notched a 10th place finish at the American Outdoor Championships (5/15) with a mark of 3.82 meters (12-6.25)…took home second place at the Southern Miss Invite (4/25) with a mark of 3.81 meters (12-6)…tied for fourth place at the Yellow Jacket Invite (3/28) with a mark of 3.60 meters (11-9.75)…recorded a mark of 3.50 meters (11-5.75) at the McNeese Cowboy Relays (3/14) to earn a tie for seventh place.

2013-14 (Freshman)

Indoor Track and Field: Competed in six regular-season meets, as well as the Conference USA Indoor Championships...participated in only the pole vault...scored points for the team at the C-USA Indoor Championships (3/1) in the pole vault, placing fifth with a vault of 3.75 meters (12-3.5)...set a personal best in the pole vault by clearing 3.84 meters (12-7.25) for a fourth-place finish at the LSU Twilight (2/21), a mark that doubled as the second-best mark in school history at season's end...tied for ninth at the Southern Miss Cupid Classic (2/14) with a leap of 3.80 meters (12-5.5)...posted a 3.70 meter (12-1.5) vault at the Samford Multis and Invitational (2/8), tying for sixth...tied for third at the BSC Panther Icebreaker (12/6/13) with a 3.55 meter (11-7.75) vault.

Outdoor Track and Field: A third-team All-Louisiana Team member in the pole vault...competed in seven regular-season meets on the season, as well as the Conference USA Outdoor Championships...qualified for the NCAA East Regionals, but did not compete due to an injury...scored points at the C-USA Outdoor Championships (3/29) with a fourth-place finish of 3.66 meters (12-0)...notched a personal-best leap of 3.97 meters (13-0.25) for the event title at the Stanford Invitational (4/5), a mark that stood third in school history at season's end...leapt 3.87 meters (12-8.25) at the Alabama Relays (3/22)...won the event title at the Jaguar Opener (3/7) with a jump of 3.76 meters (12-4).

Earned Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll honors.

About Mary Carson Pitts

Prep: A four-time letterwinner in the pole vault and a three-time letter winner in cross country at the Hutchinson School in Memphis, Tenn....holds the school record and the Tennessee state record in the pole vault with a leap of 12' 7" that she cleared in March 2013...also competed in the high jump, notching a personal best of 5' 4" at the regional championship...named the Hutchison Track MVP during her senior campaign...helped lead her team to a regional title in 2013.
