Outdoor Track and Field: Competed in five of the team's eight meets...threw the discus and javelin during the outdoor campaign...ranked second on the team in the javelin and third in the discus...posted a season-best javelin toss of 53.07-meters at the Louisiana Classics (3/19)...topped the 50-meter mark in the LSU Relays (3/26), 51.43-meters, and the LSU Alumni Gold (4/23), 51.14-meters...collected a mark of 48.04-meters in the javelin at the Tulane Team Challenge (3/9)...also competed in the javelin at the South Alabama Invitational (4/9), 39.89-meters...posted a season-best toss of 25.06-meters in the discus at the Tulane Team Challenge (3/9).

About Andrew Gray

Prep: Competed in track and field for head coach Bill Murphy while at Portsmouth High School...was selected as team captain and team MVP during his senior season...placed third in the state in the high jump as a senior...also lettered in tennis while at PHS...helped the Clippers to the NHIAA State Championship as a senior and an undefeated record...was named team captain and played at the fourth singles position and second doubles spot.

Personal: Born Andrew Mark Gray on March 13, 1989...the son of Lawrence and Ruth Gray...has one brother, Evan, and one sister, Whitney.
