2001 Cross Country: Earned All-District and All-Conference honors this fall. At the NCAA South Central Championships, she was the WaveâÂÂ?TMs lone runner and placed 19th with a time of 21:43 on the 6K course. At the Conference USA Championship, Gemmell was the WaveâÂÂ?TMs top finisher at ninth place in 20:26.7. She also added three top four finishes during the regular season.

2001 Outdoor: Recorded 17 points at the C-USA Championship by winning the 1,500-meter run and taking third in the 800 and eighth in the 5,000 (career-best time of 17:46.29). Posted a season-best time of 2:13.02 in the 800 at the Jesse Owens Classic. Her top 1,500 was a 4:30.44 at the Tulane Invitational. Ran the 3,000 at the Southern Miss Invitational in a career-best 9:57.64.

2001 Indoor: The C-USA Indoor Champion in the mile. Her best mile time came at the Canon Classic (4:54.15). Also was the second-fastest 800-runner for the Wave (2:16.59). Ran a leg for Tulane?s C-USA champion distance medley relay squad (11:48.41).

2000 Cross Country: Ran in five meets for the Wave. Her top finish was fourth at the two-mile SLU Invitational (10:51.54). Finished 15th at the Conference USA Championship and 35th at the NCAA District Championship.

2000 Outdoor: Ran the 800, the 1,500 and the 3,000 meters for the Green Wave.

2000 Indoor: Posted a season-best time of 2:15.37 in the 800 meters. Her top clocking in the mile run was 5:00.10.

1999 Cross Country: Won the LSU Invitational and was Tulane?s top finisher at the Tulane Invitational. Finished second at the Popeye?s Ragin Cajun Invitational. Placed sixth at the Conference USA Championships.

1999 Outdoor: Earned C-USA Freshman of the Year honors after runner-up efforts in the 800-meter dash (2:11.00) and 1,500 meters (4:26.44). Posted season-bests of 2:10.94 in the 800, 4:26.44 in the 1,500 and 10:15.81 in the 3,000. Also a part of record-setting 4x800 and 4x1,500 relays.

1999 Indoor: Named C-USA Freshman of the Year after winning the 800 meters (2:13.52) and the distance medley relay (11:47.13), while finishing third in the mile run (4:55.27). Earned All-America honors as part of Tulane?s nationally-ranked distance medley relay team that finished third at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 11:14.67.

Prep: A standout student-athlete at Freyberg High School. Ran a personal best of 2:09.10 in the 800 meters. Won the Grant Trophy for the top senior sportswoman in 1997. Named MVP of her cross country team.

Personal: Born October 30, 1979. The daughter of Colin Gemmell.
