2001 Cross Country: Earned All-District honors after finishing 20th at the NCAA South Central Regional with a time of 31:17 on the 10K course. Also an All-Conference USA selection after finishing 11th and helping the Green Wave to the league title with a 24:20.0 8K time. Placed third at the LSU Invitational.

Prep: Represented the Swedish National Team, and made three appearances with the Junior National Team. Advanced to the final of the 3,000-meter steeplecahse at the European Junior Championships. Posted top times of 8:47 in the steeplechase, 3:49 in the 1500 and 1:53 in the 800.

Personal: Born October 3, 1982 in Stockholm, Sweden. The son of Nils-Erik and Harriette Emilsson. His father ran the 800 for the Swedish National Team, with a personal best time of 1:49.
