AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
OUTDOOR: Helped the Wave's 4x400 relay team qualify for NCAA Regionals with a top time of 3:39.26 at the C-USA Championship (5/14). Finished 10th at Regionals after taking third at the C-USA meet. Notched her personal-best 400 time of 56.74 seconds at the Yellow Jacket Invitational (4/2). Also had a top high jump of 5-3.00 at the Hurricane Invitational (4/16). INDOOR: Registered the third-best high jump in school history with a height of 5-4.50 at the Houston Classic (1/21) and matched that at the C-USA Championships (2/26). Her top 400-meter time of 47.00 came at the Armory Invitational (2/5). Helped the Wave's mile-relay team to eighth place at the C-USA Championships while her distance-medley relay team finished ninth.

A three-time all-state selection and a four-time all-conference pick. Placed fifth in the high jump at the Illinois State Championships in 2003. Posted personal records of 25.12 seconds in the 200-meter dash, 55.81 seconds in the 400-meter dash and five feet, six inches in the high jump. The 5-6 mark in the high jump would make her the fourth-best high-jumper in Tulane history. Also lettered in volleyball and basketball, earning all-league honors in volleyball.
Full name is Shanon Nicole Beelendorf. Born November 11, 1985 in Sterling, Ill. The daughter of Penny Beelendorf. Active in community programs such as B.L.I.N.D. and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
