AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05)
OUTDOOR: Notched her personal record in the 1500-meter run at the Conference USA Championship (5/13) with a time of 4:48.33 to finish 10th in the preliminary heats (finished 12th in the finals). Also posted a time of 18:55.23 in the 5000-meter run at the LSU Relays (3/26). INDOOR: Competed in four meets. Notched her top one-mile time of 5:19.26 at the Armory Invitational (2/5), while tallying her top 3000-meter time of 10:32.04 at the LSU Twilight Invitational (2/18). CROSS COUNTRY: Tulane's second finisher in every race as a freshman, including three top-five finishes. Clocked a collegiate best 6K time of 22:27 at the NCAA Regionals (11/13). Her best 5K was an 18:37 at the Notre Dame Invitational (10/1).

A four-year all-state selection in track and field and a two-time all-state honoree in cross country. Won the outdoor state title (Class 5A) in the 1600 and 3200-meter runs as a senior, setting a class record in the 1600. Also captured the indoor 3200-meter title in 2004, setting the state record in that event. Was the state runner-up in the cross country championship as a junior and senior. Also won the 2001 state championship (Class 4A) in the 1600 meters as a freshman. Earned second in the state for Class 5A in both the 1600 and the 3200-meter runs as a sophomore and junior. Also won regional and district titles in the 1600 and the 3200. Was the 2001 state runner-up in the indoor 3000-meter run, while earning second place in the state in the indoor 1500-meter run in 2002.
Full name is Aubrey Elaine Phillips. Born March 30, 1986 in Overland Park, Kan. The daughter of Pam and Eric Phillips. Earned high school salutatorian honors. Named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll for 2004-05. Majoring in exercise science with an education minor.
