First Two-A-Day Practice Sandwiches Football Media Day

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's football squad had a busy day on Wednesday, Aug. 10, as the Green Wave held its first two-a-day of fall camp in addition to sandwiching Media Day in between practices.

The Green Wave held an abbreviated version of practice at Yulman Stadium during the morning before first-year head coach Willie Fritz and selected players met with the media at the Glazer Family Club during lunch.

After some rest and team meetings, Tulane will return to Yulman Stadium Wednesday evening for its second practice of the day, where the squad will predominately work on special teams.

On Thursday, the Green Wave will hold a closed practice at the Saints Indoor Practice Facility on Airline Highway, followed by another two-a-day session on Friday. On Saturday, the Green Wave's annual Fan Day will take place at Yulman Stadium following the team's 7:45 a.m. CT practice.

Tulane football opens the season at Wake Forest on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3. The following week, the Green Wave will open its home campaign against Southern on Sept. 10 at 7:00 p.m.
