After two years working in the Tulane Athletics marketing department, Steve Walsh was promoted to director of marketing in the fall of 2003. In his current position, he is responsible for both single-game and season ticket sales, while handling the Green Wave?s advertising and promotional efforts and assisting with game operations activities.
Walsh is also Tulane?s liaison with ISP Sports, the school?s multimedia rights holder. He served as the Wave?s marketing liaison for the 2004 NCAA Women?s Final Four, hosted by Tulane. A Southern California native, Walsh, 27, earned his bachelor?s degree in communications from UC-San Diego in 1999. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Triton cross country and track and field teams.
Following graduation, he worked for three years in sales and marketing in the computer industry. Currently pursuing his MBA at Tulane, Walsh is married to the former Dena Strube, a fourth-year student at Tulane Medical School.
