Former Tulane baseball player and coach Scott Sidwell returned to the Green Wave Athletics Department in September 2000 and is currently serving as an associate athletic director for the Green Wave.
In his current role, Sidwell oversees all external areas of the department, including the Tulane Athletics Fund, the ticket office, marketing and media relations. He also supervises the sports of men's golf and track and field and cross country.
Sidwell came to Tulane from the New Orleans Saints, where he worked in corporate sales, marketing and promotions, and stadium operations from 1999-2000.
A two-year lettermen in baseball at Tulane in 1993 and 1994, Sidwell was named Outstanding Sports Management major in his senior year. He transferred to Tulane from Brown University, where he began his collegiate career and was named All-Ivy League in 1991.
After earning his bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from Tulane, Sidwell worked as an assistant baseball coach under current Green Wave mentor Rick Jones for two years. He left Tulane in 1996 to work as director of group sales for the New Orleans Zephyrs.
Sidwell and his wife, Samantha, have a daughter, Madison (7), and a son, Beau (4).
