Jenni Puhr begins her first year at Tulane University as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Puhr's primary responsibility is to provide medical coverage and oversee all aspects of healthcare for the Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field programs. She is also responsible for weekly scheduling of the athletic training staff.
Prior to her employment at Tulane, Puhr served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Southern Mississippi from 2009-2011, where her primary responsibility was providing medical coverage for the women's basketball and men's tennis teams. She also served as a Co-Clinical Coordinator in the Athletic Training Education Program during the 2010-2011 academic year. In addition, she was responsible for managing the inventory and supplies for the athletic training room, overseeing the sports medicine website, and assisting in the organization of the Student Athletic Trainers' Workshop for high school students.
Puhr received her Master of Health Administration degree from the University of North Florida in July of 2009. While at UNF, she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the swimming & diving and volleyball teams, and was responsible for processing secondary insurance claims for all student-athletes. Puhr graduated magna cum laude from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in May 2007.
She is currently a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and the Louisiana Athletic Trainers' Association.
A native of St. George Island, FL, the former Jenni Edmiston currently resides in New Orleans with her husband, Kevin.
