Tulane receiver D.J. Banks asks for a transfer from the Green Wave football program
D.J. Banks, a 5-foot-9, 182-pound athletic slot receiver, turned in paperwork on Monday to transfer from Tulane, according to Banks and his father, Don Banks Sr. Banks said his skill set wasn't being used to its potential in the current offense. Tulane, via the athletic communications staff, had no comment on the situation.

There will be a large gathering at Andrew Nierman's house today, stacking piping-hot piles of mirlitons and turkey on plates. His mom, Katie, a spunky blonde, has been preparing for weeks to serve a meal for all the Tulane football players who can't make it home for the holiday.

His moments with Jordan Callahan have been many, so Tulane Coach Ed Conroy motioned his sophomore guard closer. Conroy has watched Callahan improve his discipline and decision-making during a short time in the program, but the lessons have come with quick-fire speed. Now the results were being revealed.

LSU always seems to do just enough when it plays Tulane in women's basketball to come away with a win. That point isn't lost on Green Wave senior guard Roshaundra Barnes and the rest of the Tulane players as they travel an hour up Interstate 10 tonight to take on LSU at the Pete Maravich Assembly in Baton Rouge for their yearly tussle. It has been a one-way result the past three seasons in favor of the Lady Tigers.
