Tulane adds new sports sand volleyball and bowling to 2011-12 lineup
For the first time since Hurricane Katrina washed away half its sports teams in 2005, the school is back at the NCAA-required 16 teams. Tulane officially added women's sand volleyball and women's bowling on Friday to give the Green Wave 16 sports.

Tulane to expand athletic footprint with new facility, increased subsidies
Tulane's administration hopes it hit a home run Tuesday when the school announced increased subsidization for its athletic department and released details of plans for its newest facility.

The Youth Impact Program (YIP) invests in "at risk" below the poverty line young boys from nine to 12 years old in a four-week intense program through using Tulane facilities, staff, student athletes and local elementary teachers.

Tulane volleyball team adds eight new players
Tulane Coach Sinisa Momic knows he has a big job in front of him, but he's jazzed about the upside of the incoming class. "I enjoy (molding the young players) the most, " Momic said. "If you find kids with the right attitude, you just watch them grow every month. If I do my job right, I'm going to see progress every month. " When they are juniors and seniors it's going to be great. Who knows, maybe even next year. I don't really know what will happen. Good things will happen, but I don't know exactly because they are all put together right now.".
