Tulane University Athletic Training
Mission Statement:
The mission of the athletic training staff is to ensure the welfare of all Tulane University student-athletes.
The Tulane Athletic Training Staff is proud to serve the healthcare needs of the Tulane Student-Athlete. The staff consists of five full-time certified athletic trainers, two certified graduate assistant athletic trainers and numerous undergraduate student workers. The athletic trainers work very closely with the staff at the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine and under direct supervision of team physicians Greg Stewart, MD, Felix "Buddy" Savoie, MD, and Michael O'Brien, MD. Located on the first floor of the James W. Wilson, Jr Center, the Earl "Bubba" Porsche Athletic Training Room houses the athletic training staff and serves as the main athletic training facility for Tulane student-athletes. There is also a satellite athletic training room located in Fogelman Arena. Together, they serve the medical needs of all 14 Tulane Athletics teams.
