Tulane Women's Basketball vs Rice at 7 p.m. (CSTV)
Think Pink Brochure (PDF)
Join Tulane Athletics in the fight against breast cancer on Thursday, February 14 at the Tulane women's basketball game against Rice (which will air live on CSTV). Fans are encouraged to wear pink shirts and ribbons for the game.
Tulane will warm up in pink, and pink Tulane gear will be available for purchase with proceeds being donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Also, fans can pledge a donation for each free throw made by the Green Wave.
At halftime, Tulane will honor breast cancer survivors.
Portions of all ticket sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. All money raised goes directly to the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
